چکیده

Sea surface height changes due to the tropical cyclone (TC)-induced water mixing in Yellow Sea, Korea, were investigated using temperature and salinity profile data obtained by two Argo floats during summer fall of 2018 2020. Strong winds low pressure, which are important characteristics TCs, caused horizontal vertical sea movement induced mixing. This an increase mixed layer depth, a decrease density, specific volume. Specific volume related steric effect directly linked changes. During TC Soulik (1819) period, thermocline deepened more than 10 m, level was increased 3 cm. Other cases, such as Jebi (1821), Trami (1824), Kong-Rey (1825), showed increases 1–2 In 2020, TCs–Bavi (2008), Maysak (2009), Haishen (2010)—showed minor (about 0.5–1 cm) because weak their high moving speeds or impacts. As post-TC impact, could cause rise levels seawater.

Effects of surface heat flux-induced sea surface temperature changes on tropical cyclone intensity

[1] It is known that in deep and open oceans, the effect of sea surface sensible and evaporative heat fluxes on the tropical cyclone-induced sea surface cooling is small compared to that caused by turbulent mixing and cold water entrainment into the upper ocean mixed-layer. This study shows that tropical cyclone-induced surface heat fluxes dominate the surface cooling in near-coastal shallow oc...

Tropical cyclone rainfall area controlled by relative sea surface temperature

Tropical cyclone rainfall rates have been projected to increase in a warmer climate. The area coverage of tropical cyclones influences their impact on human lives, yet little is known about how tropical cyclone rainfall area will change in the future. Here, using satellite data and global atmospheric model simulations, we show that tropical cyclone rainfall area is controlled primarily by its e...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Seasonal changes and controlling factors of sea surface pCO2 in the Yellow Sea

Sea surface partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) is an important parameter in the ocean carbon cycle system. By using accurate global sea surface pCO2 data, we can directly estimate the ratio of net CO2 uptake of global ocean, which can provide a support for further research of global carbon cycle. This article mainly discussed the seasonal changes of sea surface pCO2 and the relationships...
